Introduction

When Theresa May became Prime Minister in 2016 she vowed to transform the way we approach with mental illness in this country. She stated that it was important to address issues at every stage of a person’s life starting with ensuring that children and young people get the help and support they need and deserve – mental illness often starts in childhood and, when left untreated, can blight lives and become entrenched. Mental health in the workplace is equally important as it impacts individual, families, colleagues and employers. During this two-day programme you will learn how to identify symptoms, understand and support someone who has or may be developing a mental health issue. Our programme is delivered by a qualified, registered nurse with many years’ experience delivering training in mental health related illnesses.

Topics covered include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
