Social Media Strategy Building with Google Business Profile
This one day course covers topics which will help to develop your social media strategy, provide a guide into what a successful social media strategy consists of, how to identify your target audience as well as identifying the tools to measure your social media success with tips on time saving, all relevant to your businesses.
Additionally, the day will review the benefits of setting up and optimising a Google Business Profile, a free resource offered by Google to support your business in a local search environment. Aimed at small businesses that want to improve the digital footprint and be more easily found by potential customers. You will learn to harness the power of the profile to describe and showcase your business, get reviews, and enable a professional view of your business and weave into your social media strategy.

- Looking at developing the right objectives for your business’s social media
- Review and build target audience personas
- Develop a content plan, using existing content as well as curating content from other sources
- Planning and scheduling across platforms
- Reusing and repurposing content
- Using awareness days, and other curation tools to support your content plan
- Developing a posting and content plan
- Brief overview of analytics, testing and review
- Finding, building and claiming your Goggle Business Profile
- Optimising your profile
- Advice and guidance on adding text, imagery and video
- Showcasing the supportive tools Google Business Profile offers
- Adding and creating updates and how best to use these
- Adding a responsive website to your profile
- Getting the most of Google Business Profile reviews
- Using the Messenger set up
- Brief overview of analytics to review profile progress
How will delegates learn?
You will be provided with tutorial handouts, to make notes on for each section.
Through demonstration and practical application you will be guided through the tutorials throughout the session using small building blocks of learning.
An informal approach will be taken and so you are encouraged to question and review.
Your understanding will be assessed through question and answer and your outcomes.
To note:
You will need to bring your own charged laptops, have access to images, your social media platforms; passwords/user names, logo and any brand guidelines etc. You will need to know who are your competitors, aspirational competitors, those in your industry that are good exemplars of using their social media effectively.

The course is delivered over one day, from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
Individual cost: £110. Includes course notes and tuition.
