Level 2 Mental Health First Aid
Throughout this 1-day course, you will develop an understanding on the importance of positive mental health and well-being in the workplace and the role that everyone plays in recognising mental health issues at work.
The objective of the qualification is to benefit you through education in common mental health illnesses such as depression, stress and anxiety, eating disorders, self-harming and suicide.
The qualification includes how to listen to others and provide advice on where to signpost to expert support to assist them in difficult times. The qualification will potentially assist with reducing stigma associated with mental health problems in the workplace.
This course is delivered over 1 day, from 9.30am to 4.30pm
Topics covered will include:
- Understanding mental health and its importance,
- Promoting positive mental health in the workplace,
- Common mental health conditions,
- Mental health first aid at work action plans
Assessment Methods
1 x Theory Assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper)
Requalification requirements
This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. It is of the understanding that you need to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
