You will gain a qualification in health and safety, and gain skills in areas of technical theatre such as working at height, manual handling, lighting, sound and stage management. You will understand the importance of following health and safety procedures and to understand know key rights and responsibilities relating to health and safety. You will have a basic awareness of potential hazards and the conditions which afford risk. Finally, you will be able to identify safe practices and protective equipment.
Assessments
Students will be assessed through various methods including group discussions and an Ascentis-devised multiple-choice test that is carried out at the completion of the course.

Study methods
Onsite, face-to-face delivery. Students will learn our professional theatre, the AA Theatre, with all appropriate health and safety provision.
