Excel Introduction
This course is suitable for the novice spreadsheet user and is designed to familiarize them with the basics of creating and using Excel spreadsheets. The emphasis is on using the package to print, save and format sheets and charts rather than advanced sheet design. It will teach the basics of Excel to people new to either spreadsheets of Excel itself to ensure that new users can build, format, save and print spreadsheets and graphs.
This course is delivered over 1 day from 9.30am to 4.30pm
Topics covered will include:
- What is a spreadsheet?
- Using Excel: screen layout, Ribbon bar, Toolbars and Task panes
- Using Help and searching for Help
- Entering and editing text, numbers, and formulae
- Building sheets by Copying and Moving data
- Introducing Functions and the Formula Composer
- Formatting the spreadsheet and its data
- Saving and opening spreadsheet files
- Printing, previewing and Page Layout/Setup options
- Creating charts as new sheets or placing on existing ones
- Customising Chart Design, Format and Layout Options
- Printing and Previewing Charts
