You’ll not only be introduced the technical aspects of music production, but will also have the opportunity to expand your knowledge on the origins of electronic music.
The course will included an introduction to Cubase (digital audio workstation), virtual synthesisers, sampling and loop manipulation.
Assessments
No formal assessments. Students will be encouraged to participate in group discussion and Q&A.

Completion of this course can help students to progress on to various other performance and courses available at York College.

6th March 2025 - 8th May 2025, Thursdays, 6.00pm-8.00pm.
Study methods
Onsite, face-to-face delivery. Students will learn in a friendly and professional environment.
Facilities
You will be taught in music rooms with all materials provided. As well as our state of the art music facilities, students have access to a fantastic range of College-wide facilities such as the Learning & Research Centre, study hubs, computer areas with accompanying multi-function printers and helpdesk advice.
