Emergency First Aid at Work
This qualification will enable you to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:
- The Resuscitation Council (UK)
- A distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care
The objective of the qualification is to benefit you by preparing you to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations and/or take on the role of emergency first aider in the workplace.
This course is delivered over 1 day, from 9.30am to 4.30pm
Topics covered will include:
During this 1-day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
Assessment Methods
4 x Practical assessments
1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).
Requalification requirements
This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. It is of the understanding that you need to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified.
