There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but students must have an interest and passion for cookery and want to learn more.

Over this 5-week course, our master Chef, Graham Fyfe, will teach students to prepare a range of delicious baked goods.

With a variety of recipes, this 5-week course will expand your home baking repertoire with budget friendly and incredibly tasty baked goods that anyone can make which will impress your friends and family. No prior cookery experience is needed to join this class.

At the end of the session, you will take home what you have produced to enjoy.

Any dietary requirements, allergies or intolerances can be accommodated within the recipes. Please contact Graham directly at gfyfe@yorkcollege.ac.uk to discuss any specific requirements.

Course units

Over the course of this 5-week course, you will learn to prepare and cook a range of baked goods.

Taking place in our professional standard training kitchens, our master Chef, Graham Fyfe, will work with you to build your confidence and skills to prepare baked goods to share with your friends and family.

Course progression

After this course you could undertake any of the other York College Cookery School classes for your enjoyment.

If you were interested in gaining a formal qualification in catering, our tutors would be able to advise on suitable routes that are available on a full or part time basis.

Study methods

This course is a practical, hands-on course and students will learn in a friendly and professional kitchen, under the guidance of expert chef, Graham Fyfe.

Facilities

Here at York College we have state-of-the-art training kitchens and a superb training restaurant, The Cookery.
