York City Knights Head Coach Leads Development Centre Training Session
As term gets underway, players from the York College Knights Rugby Development Centre are being put through their paces by York City Knights Head Coach, James Ford.
The training session shows that York College and York City Knights are working successfully together on the innovative education pathway which enables 16-18 year-old students to combine a range of study options with training and playing as part of the York College Knights Development Centre.
Gaz Lee, Sports Development Coordinator at York College is excited to see students who are studying A Levels and Vocational courses accessing the York College Knights Development programme and having the opportunity to ultimately join the Knights Player development pathway; “With former student Joe Porter, and current student Myles Harrison now playing for York City Knights, we are starting to see how this successful partnership is helping to raise the profile of Rugby League in the City.”
James Ford, York City Knights Head Coach, said ‘This is an exceptional programme for local male and female players to develop their game, as part of the Knights, whilst furthering their education and career opportunities.’
