Where could a T Level in Health take you?
T Levels have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses and provide specific skills needed for various industries.
Throughout their studies, our T Level students complete 315 hours of work placement. This means that they finish their studies with industry-recognised qualifications as well as real-life work experience.
Studying a T Level in health can lead to professions in emergency care, dental nursing, healthcare and more.
We chatted with two of our students on why they chose to study a T Level in Health at York College and how they have found the experience so far…
“I chose a T Level in Health because I have always known I wanted to work in healthcare as a way of giving back. I mainly chose the course as I aspire to be a midwife, therefore the course is perfect as it covers everything I need to know as it provides both health and science.
“T Level Health is amazing. It involves so many elements such as practical work with the doll, placement work and individual work. Personally, I think that the course is fantastic as it really does empower us to be independent.
“I chose York College due to the atmosphere and opportunities it leads to. I attended two open evenings and loved both. York College provides such a welcoming environment, the staff are super supportive and empower you to strive to reach your potential in everything you do. I have a range of tutors who all have a variety of teaching techniques which is great. College has also been a great way to meet new people from different places.
“Personally, I love College! I have a great relationship with all my tutors. They are so supportive and understanding which makes College so much more enjoyable. All tutors provide great support with your work and make sure to cover anything you may not feel as confident with.
“After College I aspire to attend university to study Midwifery.”
“I chose this course because it will help me achieve my dreams of becoming a paediatric nurse.
T Level Health is a course which includes classroom work, practical work and placement work. I thoroughly enjoy this course because of all the new skills which I am learning and developing. There is always something new to learn and the topics we learn about are always interesting.
“I chose York College as I wanted to have more freedom, meet new people and do a course that was going to help me in the future.
“My overall experience has been very positive. I thoroughly enjoy College and I am really glad I chose to come here. I get the College bus four days per week and find the travel perfectly manageable.
“My tutors are super supportive, I feel as though if I had an issue I could go to them and they would be there to listen to me. I live near Malton so my work placement has been arranged with an employer near to where I live.
“I the future I intend to go to university to study Paediatric Nursing."
