Celebrity Hairdressing Duo Turn Heads at In-house Competition

The Competition involved 200 full-time students and apprentices working to strict competition rules, producing hair and beauty designs in the following categories: Evening Style, Hair-Up, 1920s – 1940s, Nail Art, Level 3 Beauty, Special Occasion make-up, Fantasy Make-up and Barbering.

The Hair Bros, Nick Latham and Sean Nother, known as London’s most promising hair stylists, based in Hershesons in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, were delighted to be invited to judge the in-house competition, alongside students who are studying for a degree in Media Make-up, Special Effects and Hair Design at the College, and local employers. Later, in their own demonstration, the two acclaimed hairdressers imparted some valuable tips and advice to an enthusiastic audience of staff, students and guests.

Karen Goodman, Head of Hair, Beauty and Holistic Therapies at York College said: “We are very proud of our students who took part in the competition, they did a wonderful job showcasing their skills. I would also like to thank our special guests, the Hair Bros – they were interested to see the kind of work our students produce whilst training in preparation for industry. The Hair Bros also gave us an amazing demonstration and shared their own styling techniques, and a detailed presentation, proving they are pushing the boundaries of hair design today.”
