We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility as part of our strategic plan.
After careful consideration and a vote from our dedicated staff and students, we are delighted to introduce our chosen partner charities for the year: St Leonard's Hospice and The Island, both York based charities.
St Leonard's Hospice is an independent charity that provides care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and carers, when they need it most. They offer an in-patient unit, Sunflower Centre and Hospice@Home service. Every penny donated will help St Leonard's Hospice to ensure families can continue to get the support they need during their most difficult times.
Our staff and students will be working with St Leonard's Hospice, planning lots of fun activities throughout the year to raise funds and support.

The Island is a charity in York providing "islands of space and time" for vulnerable children and young people; building confidence, self-esteem and unlocking potential through positive mentoring relationships and unique activities and programmes.
The Island supports some of our most disadvantaged, vulnerable
and isolated children and young people to realise their potential through positive mentoring relationships and activities.
Their vision is to support, guide and positively influence the lives of every single young person in York, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances or life experiences.

A range of staff and student fundraising and volunteering activities will take place across the year.
