Training Outline:

This training course is designed to enable delegates to explore their report writing skills and to increase the effectiveness of their reports.
How to produce a report?
Examine different types of reports and ways presenting reports


  • To develop an understanding of Effective Report Writing that can be used to develop reports and engage the reader.
  • Understanding the key components of producing a report and effective planning, basic research techniques and how to best present this information to maximise it’s effect
  • Managing time effectively to produce the report by using report templates and tool kits.
  • Understanding of the audience and topic requirements and how to enable them to engage with you through the report
  • Produce a professional report that can stand up to organisational rigour and critique

By the end of this session participants will have improved their ability to:

  • Plan and develop reports
  • Use different techniques to stimulate thinking
  • Be aware of the order and planning of a clear report structures
  • Understand the importance of using plain English
  • Identify and meet the audience requirements through having examples and templates to enable them to produce professional reports.
  • Produce a template to facilitate a well-structured reports that are effective and fit for purpose
  • Consider the best layout for a report
  • Understand helpful techniques and checklists that will enable you to create a really good report
  • Understand your organisation ways of presenting information and reports
