This 3-hour programme is designed for anyone who wishes to improve their knowledge and understanding of the condition and to begin to understand how to apply the principles of ‘person-centred’ dementia care.

  • Types of dementia
  • Signs and symptoms of dementia
  • Communicating with a person who has dementia
  • Caring for a person who has dementia

This programme is open to all – care professionals, employers and employees within businesses that may have contact with people who have dementia, family & friends of people with dementia. The aim of this is to increase knowledge and understanding of dementia. There will also be a question/answer session to deal with any queries participants may have.

This will be held at York College on:

  • Thursday 18th May 2017 – 9.30am – 12.30pm  FULLY BOOKED
  • Thursday 18th May 2017 – 1.00pm – 4.00pm

Price: £20.00 Per individual
