York College is a 'permit only' parking site. Permits are issued by Estates Office in Room 1F123.
Please familiarise yourself with the car park rules as there are financial penalties if you breach them.
Visitors to the college must sign in at reception and obtain a hanger permit. For staff and students there are 2 types of permit available:
Annual Permit – The cost is £66 for a car and this allows you to park without further payment for one academic year.
Annual Occasional Use Permit - if you only use your vehicle occasionally you can obtain an Annual Occasional Use Permit. This is free and this allows you to park in the Pay & Display (P&D) car park for a daily charge of 60p. Please ensure that the P&D ticket is displayed daily with the occasional use permit (motorcycle/moped users may only apply for an annual permit at a charge of £45 per academic year).
There are a number of disabled car parking spaces adjacent to the main entrance. A College permit and a valid pay and display ticket (with an occasional use permit) must be displayed.
A cost of £45 will be charged for a motorbike/moped and this also allows you to park without further payment for one academic year.
The College has limited parking space and courteous, safe driving is expected at all times. This car park can get full early in the morning. Please do not park in local residential avenues such as Chessingham Gardens.
Staff and students must obtain a permit from the estates office on the first floor, room 1F123. Students are not eligible for a car parking pass until they have held a full licence for at least twelve months however there is an appeal procedure which is detailed in the link below.
