Blackboard is here to enhance and support your studies online and can be accessed anywhere with internet access, including smartphones and tablets, simply using your college username and password.
Each and every course represented in Blackboard will be a little bit different. Your tutor will know exactly how best to supplement your face-to-face learning with online activity in Blackboard, but you can expect to find at least some of the following activity to help enhance your studies:
Course Information - including your course handbook, assessment schedule, a study diary and tutor contact details
Learning Resources - organised and presented in a way that your tutor(s) consider the most effective for your learning on this course
Assignments area - to use to upload assessments online if your tutor feels that this is the best approach for your learning on this course
Collaboration area - where you can contribute to group work, and online research, both in and out of college, where it is seen as being valuable to your course
Opportunities to communicate with your tutor and fellow students via Blackboard email
