A number of local motorists have raised the issue of moped or scooter riders overtaking dangerously when traffic is stationary, without due regard to cars that may be approaching from side roads. I would alert all our students to be aware of the need to be very vigilant when approaching the college whether by car, moped or bicycle, and to take care when overtaking. Cars pulling out into a stream of traffic may not see you. Please be careful when travelling to College and be very aware of the intentions of other road users.
Likewise, our attention has been drawn to moped/motorbike riders who do ‘wheelies’ in/around the College campus, riders are reminded that they are not to do these and there could be legal implications of doing such stunts.
