There was a warm welcome for a group of Norwegian students and their tutor when they visited York College to experience two weeks studying Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy.
The students, who study similar programmes in Norway, thought the English way of teaching and working in the College's training salons provided an interesting insight into how treatments and services differ between the two countries.
Being hands-on learning a full range of treatments, including Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments for hair removal, hot stone massage, advanced make up techniques and new product knowledge, also gave them the perfect opportunity to improve their English language skills.
Norwegian students have studied at York College for some years now and it is hoped that, following their visit, this may extend to Norwegian students choosing to study hairdressing and beauty therapy courses on a regular basis.
