Congratulations to A Level Law student Callum Moran on winning the Ebor Lex Essay Competition; an annual prize awarded by the University of York student Law magazine. Callum's essay on 'Raising the current age of legal responsibility' will be published in the Ebor Lex magazine.
Callum (formerly of the Snaith School, Goole) has an offer to study Law at Jesus College Cambridge in September. He was presented with a certificate and a cheque for £150, as well as a goodie bag provided by sponsors Hogan Lovells. The prize is the icing on the cake for Callum who recently asked a question on BBC Question Time.
The runner-up prize of £50 was awarded to A Level Law student Isobel Duffy (formerly of Millthorpe School).
Editor-in-Chief, Ebor Lex, Kayleigh Brady said: “All of the submissions by A Level Law students at York College were of a very high quality and the judges were very impressed. Callum’s essay demonstrated extensive knowledge and his arguments had real depth."
