York College is pleased to announce that three students have received offers to study at either Oxford or Cambridge universities this year.
Jess Lister (formerly of Howden School and Technology College, Goole) to study History at Emmanuel College, Cambridge
Joe Smith (formerly of St Peter’s School) to study Physics at Christ Church, Oxford
Paulina Barszcz (formerly of Horbury High School, Wakefield) to study German and Russian at St Catherine’s College, Oxford
Miggy Biller, Head of Division for Maths and co-ordinator of Oxbridge applications at York College, says: “Jess and Joe await their A Level results with great anticipation in the summer, whereas Paulina is currently on a gap year and has an unconditional offer for Oxford University. Everyone at York College will support them, and indeed all our university- bound students, to ensure they attain their required grades.”
York College is the largest provider of students to university in the region, with 950 students sending in UCAS applications this year.
