Alan Ayckbourn Theatre
The College's Alan Ayckbourn Theatre is named after internationally renowned playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn, Yorkshire's and the UK's greatest living playwright.
The theatre is designed to be a flexible auditorium and can be adapted for a wide variety of performance styles for theatre, dance and music events. It is used primarily for workshops, rehearsals and productions by York College Performing Arts (YCPA) students. The space is also a first-class training venue for students studying Backstage Arts. Music and Music Technology students also use the theatre for musical concerts and performances.
The theatre seats up to 200 people (dependent on performance layout), and has state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.
