The Re-making Leeds project is funded through the Heritage Lottery and aims to address several heritage construction skills shortages. As part of this project partners aim to deliver a range of short courses.
Sash Window Repair and Restoration
This programme will be delivered by York College and is aimed at those interested in restoring, renovating or replacing Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian or 1920s and 30s sash windows.
- Overview of listed buildings requirements in relation to window repair and maintence
- Health and safety overview - working safely when repairing and maintaining sash window
- Components of sash windows
- Dismantling and constructing sash windows
- Repairing sash windows
- Re-cording sash windows
Venue: Armely Library, Leeds (TBC)
Attendance Dates: Fridays – 19th May 2017 & 26th May 2017
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm each day
£175.00 per individual *
£25.00 per individual if you work in construction and are elligble for funding*
