Higher York is a partnership between the higher education providers in York (Askham Bryan College, the University of York, York College and York St John University) and City of York Council. Craven College is an associate member.
The Higher York website provides information for:
• Individuals considering higher education, as well as current students, including a course database of all higher education courses available in York;
• Schools looking to access outreach activities and open events;
• Businesses seeking access to the universities and colleges, including student internships and professional development opportunities.
Heltberg International School
York College established its Partnership with the Heltberg International School in the year 2000. Since then almost 500 students from across Norway have spent a year living in the York area and studying at the College. In March 2013 many of them returned to the city for a major reunion event at the National Railway Museum.
York St. John University
York St John is based on one city centre campus, just outside York city walls. Main areas of study are Professional Health Studies; Arts; Management, Community and Communication; Sports; Science and Psychology; Education and Theology.

University of York
The University of York was founded in 1963 with 200 students. Since then, it has expanded to 10,000 students and has over 30 academic departments and research centres.
